Regarding Name etc Correction – services for online correction of spellings of names and other particulars appearing in Draft NRC will be started from 10 AM of 02/01/19.
This facility can be availed by visiting NRC Assam’s website www.nrcassam.nic.in. Facility for Name Correction will also be available by submission of correction forms at NSKs. These facilities will be available till 31/01/19. These processes have no connection with the submission of Claims and Objections which will be over on 31/12/18. Correction of spellings of names and other particulars appearing in Draft NRC | How to?
Online NRC Draft Correction Portal is now Active. There are two ways available for applicants for correction of spellings in respect of names of the Applicant, Father, Mother, Spouse and other particular viz. Age/DOB (Date of Birth), Gender, Address (Permanent or Present) and Place of Birth.
- Online Correction: Visit NRC website www.nrcassam.nic.in and Click on the button Online NRC Draft Correction Portal to make corrections online.
- Offline Correction: Applicants can submit the required corrections/ Modifications by manually filling up the Correction Form and Submit it at their designated NSK. Member wise separate form will have to be submitted.
Please Note
- Correction can be done only for those persons whose names have appeared in Draft NRC.
- If any contradiction is noticed between the particulars submitted manually in the Correction Form and the Corrections/ Modifications made online, then the latter will be given preference.
- Those persons who have submitted their correction Form at the designated NSK can still carry out the corrections/ modifications online.

1] Login or register using your Mobile Number and Legacy Data Code (if any). One ARN – One Mobile Number. One Mobile Number – One ARN.
2] The owner of the Mobile Number will be legally responsible for any corrections/ modifications made in any particulars
3]Inform us at 15107 or 1800-345-3762 in case any mischief noticed – inability to register for your ARN or any information about misuse
4] Type in Assamese/ Bengali/ Bodo using English Keyboard. Before typing in the actual text box, practice in the “ScratchPad/ Practice Area” to gain confidence
5] Select the “Click to Edit” Checkbox, place cursor in the text-box of the field and start typing Corrections/ modifications made here will be accepted only after manual comparison with the
6] Application Form. An SMS will be sent on acceptance. This process will take a few months
7] Go through the User Manual carefully before starting to use the Portal.
8] Any edit can be made only up to final submission. But after final submission and receipt generation, no further changes will be possible either through online or offline.
9] Copy/ Paste functions will not work in this Portal.
10]You can also use the virtual keyboard for typing, especially in case the intended correction/modification is not available in the suggestion list when you type directly from your machine’s keyboard.
How to Apply Online for Draft NRC Assam Name Correction?
At, First visit NRC website www.nrcassam.nic.in from Laptop/ PC/ Mobile Web Browser
Now Click on the “ONLINE NRC DRAFT CORRECTION PORTAL”
After clicking on the link, you will be referred to a new website www.draftcorrect.in
You can also visit direct website link www.draftcorrect.in
You can see there a Draft NRC Correction online form.
Fill up the form entering the all required information and choose a password.
Create to Generate OTP & Enter the OTP, next you will see a login page.
Enter the Registered Mobile number and the Password you chose in the previous step.
Now Click on Sign in.
Next, you will see an instruction page, click on Proceed button.
Now you can see the list of all the members against an ARN.
Now you can change any error in the Draft NRC clicking on the Need to Change Button.

INSTRUCTIONS
Registration Process 1: If you have used any Legacy Data Code (LDC) in your NRC Application Form, registration will require quoting any one of all valid Legacy Data Codes (LDCs) used in the Application Form. Even if an LDC is used by just one out of many members who have used any other List A document, that LDC will be essential for registration. In addition, use your Mobile number* for registration.
Registration Process 2: If you have not used any Legacy Data Code (LDC) in your NRC Application Form i.e no LDC is used by any of the members, you can register with only Mobile Number*.
* Any Mobile Number can be used for registration. Such Mobile Number need not be from any of the Mobile Numbers given in the Application form. After registration in this portal, such Mobile Number will be referred to as Registered Mobile Number (RMN). A Mobile Number once used for registration for any ARN cannot be used for registering for any other ARN. Similarly, an ARN once registered through an ARN cannot be registered through any other Mobile Number. All Family Members of any ARN need to decide which Mobile Number to be used for registration.
